Pastry Baker

at  Hildegards Bakery

We’re hiring a morning pastry baker for our Village at Pineridge Hollow location. We expect this position to be heavily pastry production focused in our busiest May-October season, with a wider range of pastry, bread, and customer service responsibilities in the slower months.
Duties:
Bake off morning pastry products for retail sale
Produce pies, tart shells, croissants, scones, cinnamon buns and more
Assist with bread production and customer service as required
Keep a clean work space and assist with deep-clean tasks
Some customer service shifts, especially in the off-season when there’s less baking to do
Expect Thursday-Monday, 32-40 hours total
Requirements:
Formal training (diploma/certificate) in baking or culinary arts OR at least a year of commercial bakery production experience
Laminated dough (croissant etc) experience a particular asset
Strong independent work ethic
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Weekend availability (especially in the off-season)
Ability to lift 50lbs and stay on feet for long periods
Interest in wholesome food and local ingredients
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.00-$18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
