ABOUT YOU

  • Previous experience in a Senior Pastry Chef – Chef de Partie role.
  • Full understanding of how the role contributes to the success of the store, including a focus on quality control and operational efficiencies.
  • Good working knowledge of the restaurant and hospitality industry.
  • Able to build effective and constructive relationships – a true team player!
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally and concisely.
  • Exceptional organisational skills.
  • Good judgement and confident to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible to changing business demands.

Responsibilities:

Black Star Pastry is thriving, having fully settled into our new, purpose built Kitchen HQ in Alexandria. We are now looking for a full-time qualified Chef de Partie (Pastry) to lead a small team.
This is a full-time opportunity suited to Pastry Chefs with at least 3 years’ experience who will have the opportunity to craft our acclaimed cakes, and develop your skills as a Pastry Chef and leader.

Your main responsibilities will include -

  • Coordinate and oversee the supervision of a section
  • Ensure all pastry products are prepared and baked according to the specific store requirements.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of the full product range.
  • Follow and adhere to recipe specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements of food hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures, standards and safety guidelines are followed.
