- Previous experience in a Senior Pastry Chef – Chef de Partie role.
- Full understanding of how the role contributes to the success of the store, including a focus on quality control and operational efficiencies.
- Good working knowledge of the restaurant and hospitality industry.
- Able to build effective and constructive relationships – a true team player!
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally and concisely.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
- Good judgement and confident to make informed decisions.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible to changing business demands.
Responsibilities:
Black Star Pastry is thriving, having fully settled into our new, purpose built Kitchen HQ in Alexandria. We are now looking for a full-time qualified Chef de Partie (Pastry) to lead a small team.
This is a full-time opportunity suited to Pastry Chefs with at least 3 years’ experience who will have the opportunity to craft our acclaimed cakes, and develop your skills as a Pastry Chef and leader.

Your main responsibilities will include -
- Coordinate and oversee the supervision of a section
- Ensure all pastry products are prepared and baked according to the specific store requirements.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of the full product range.
- Follow and adhere to recipe specifications.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements of food hygiene regulations.
- Ensure all policies, procedures, standards and safety guidelines are followed.
