SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Previous Experience in a similar role, preferably within a large five star hotel group
A relevant qualification in Patisserie or an equivalent Australian recognised trade qualification
Knowledge of HACCP and relevant food safety accreditation.
Must hold or be willing to obtain a National Police Clearance
Valid Australian working rights to allow you to work unlimited hours

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking an experienced and professional Chef de Partie to join our Pastry team within the Stamford Plaza Brisbane on a Full-Time basis. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and meeting high standards for all sweets, cakes and pastries within our five-star Hotel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure the production of all food in the Pastry Kitchen is prepared according to a 5-star standard
Prepare, serve and store food items in regards to the requirements of the Pastry Kitchen
Ensure all Hotel policies and procedures, health and hygiene requirements are adhered to
Establish and maintain effective employee working relationships with all members in the Kitchen
Excellent communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach to system improvements
Maintain excellent presentation standards
Be innovative and creative and keep up to date with current trends
The ability to work a 7-day rotating roster including weekends and evenings.
