PASTRY CHEF – LEONARDSLEE HOUSE

We are looking for a strong Pastry Chef to join our exceptional team.
Set within the drawing room of our two-storey Italianate styled Leonardslee House, which dates back to 1801, and sits on a natural terrace above the steep west side of a valley. Our guests are able to view the kaleidoscope of colour with impressive views over the gardens and South Downs.
Every visitor to the beautiful Leonardslee House should expect to enjoy the very finest food, spectacular views and the ultimate tea experience.
The Ideal Pastry Chef will need to have experience from a high end back-ground and be able to create menus and dishes to a Michelin Standard.
If you are eager for a challenge and to learn more, come and join a creative and driven team. All produce is locally sourced and only the finest ingredients are used, a large proportion of which are grown on site, meaning they are the freshest available.

• Experience in a similar role is essential
• A confident, self-motivated, driven and professional person
• Excellent management skills and financial understanding
• Welcoming personality
• Must have the ability to multi-task while remaining focused on the goal.
• Must have excellent verbal communication and leadership skills.
• Be able to express creativity through food selections, preparation and presentation.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must have the ability to remain calm in high stress situations.
• Be able to solve problems quickly under pressure.
