About The Role
We are looking for a professional Pastry Chef to manage production within our pastry department. The successful candidate will employ their creativity and culinary skills in the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring best practice while working to continually innovate our market leading product offering.
Job tasks and responsibilities
· Manage daily production of bakery and pastry products
· Employ quality control methods to ensure the highest standard of food
· Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
· Design new products for special event catering
· Innovate current menu options
· Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
Essential to this position is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will need to be a great communicator and be able to prioritise your work to meet deadlines.
Successful Applicants
· 3+ years of experience in a similar position
· Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
· Accuracy and speed in food preparation and production
· Application of creativity in menu design
· Highly self-motivated, ambitious and possesses managerial and leadership skills
· Reliable, dedicated, willing to continue learning and passionate
