Description:

Since the opening of our new bakery, demand for our range of artisan breads, sweet treats and savoury snacks has shot up and our close-knit pastry team are looking to expand. As our Pastry Commis Chef, you will work under the supervision of our pastry chef and assist in the preparation of our pastries, desserts, baked goods and breads.
Our menus and creations are inspired by the seasons and our specialist Cornish growers, farmers and fisherman. This role will help provide the professional delivery of these menus.
You must be well presented, articulate and driven, and have a natural tendency to do everything to the best of your ability.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of our products according to the recipes and standards set by our head chef
  • Measuring and weighing ingredients accurately and ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality
  • Assisting in the decoration and presentation of our products
  • Maintaining your areas cleanliness, tidiness and adhering to highest hygiene levels
  • Being receptive to feedback from the team to improve your methods and progress your own skills
