Description:
Responsibilities:
- Measuring and mixing ingredients following standard recipes to produce pastries, creams, confits, mousses, and more
- Making dough and batter for an array of pastries including croissant, puff pastry, tarts, cookies, and cakes
- Making sweet and savory fillings in the style of pastry cream, fruit confit, ganache, frangipane, gelée, caramel, and more
- Filling and rolling croissants
- Making pantry items such as pralines, maple candies, and more
- Regularly contributing to creating new recipes for our rotating menu
- Following food safety standards and maintaining a clean, sanitized work environment
- Overseeing back of the kitchen operations
- Stocking and putting away inventory following FIFO standards
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-2-years of experience working as a pastry cook, baker or related field. Especially with regards to working with laminated dough
- Demonstrated ability in baking pastries, cakes, cookies, and tarts
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Able to lift up to 25KG of equipment and ingredients
