We are currently looking for an experienced Pastry Cook eager to join our team of elite hospitality professionals who redefine luxury service and guest experience on a daily basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a pastry position in a leading kitchen or bakery
  • Prior experience in a luxury hotel/resort is an asset.
  • Strong working knowledge of hospitality industry principles, methods and practices.
  • Passionate about cooking and excited to join a team dedicated to excellence
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a Team environment and work in demanding and time sensitive situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a wide variety of goods such as breads; a la carte desserts;
  • Prepare dishes for our Traditional Afternoon Fall Tea & Renowned Nutcracker Tea
  • Plate desserts for banquets; and amenities for hotel guests (macroons, chocolate covered strawberries and jams).
  • Aid the Executive Pastry Chef in creating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of our guests.
  • Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
