We are currently looking for an experienced Pastry Cook eager to join our team of elite hospitality professionals who redefine luxury service and guest experience on a daily basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a pastry position in a leading kitchen or bakery
- Prior experience in a luxury hotel/resort is an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of hospitality industry principles, methods and practices.
- Passionate about cooking and excited to join a team dedicated to excellence
- Ability to communicate effectively in a Team environment and work in demanding and time sensitive situations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare a wide variety of goods such as breads; a la carte desserts;
- Prepare dishes for our Traditional Afternoon Fall Tea & Renowned Nutcracker Tea
- Plate desserts for banquets; and amenities for hotel guests (macroons, chocolate covered strawberries and jams).
- Aid the Executive Pastry Chef in creating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of our guests.
- Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
- Maintain a clean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
