Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pastry Demi Chef de Partie to join our pastry team at Alba. As a Pastry Demi Chef de Partie, you will assist in the preparation and production of various desserts, pastries, and baked goods. This position requires a basic understanding of pastry techniques, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.Key Responsibilities:

Pastry Production: Assist in the preparation of a wide range of desserts and pastries, including cakes, tarts, cookies, and other sweet items.
- Baking and Decoration: Participate in baking tasks and decorate pastries to meet established standards.
- Mise en Place: Prepare and organize ingredients, ensuring proper mise en place for efficient pastry production.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all desserts and pastries meet the restaurant’s quality standards for taste, texture, and presentation.
- Kitchen Operations: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following proper sanitation practices.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain pastry kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of pastry ingredients and report any shortages to the Pastry Chef.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other pastry chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Compliance and Safety: Follow food safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or bakery environment, with some exposure to pastry preparation.
- Pastry Techniques: Basic knowledge of pastry and baking techniques, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to food preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency in quality.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other pastry chefs and kitchen staff.
- Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing kitchen dynamics and learn new techniques.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication with kitchen staff and other team members.
