Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Executive Pastry Chef, you will be working alongside with the Pastry team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Work alongside with the Pastry team for the preparation of restaurant desserts ensuring consistent quality is delivered, following recipe cards as well as production, portion and presentation standards.
- You will assist the Chef de Partie Pastry in preparing desserts and accurately measure and prepare recipe ingredients.
- You will help in completing the mise en place and the setup of working stations, always maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment as per HACCP
- Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including food processor, mixer, slicer, waffle iron, and excalibur, oven, crepes iron, blast chiller, fridge and freezer
- You will help in dating food containers, ensuring all perishables are kept at proper temperatures, checking pars, determining necessary preparation and ensuring our guests receive the highest levels of culinary excellence consistently.
- This position requires the completion of a project by the end of the internship.
