Responsibilities:

  • To support the Head Pastry Chef in ensuring that standards of both food production and service are consistently high and that the agreed standards are maintained.
  • To supervise the entire pastry team. Ensure that their assigned area operates efficiently and produces high-quality dishes.
  • To support with the planning and execution of dishes, as well as ensuring that the presentation and taste meet the established standards.
  • To support the training and mentoring of new kitchen staff, ensuring they understand kitchen protocols, safety procedures, and cooking techniques.
  • To assist in monitoring ingredient levels and reporting to the senior kitchen staff about inventory needs.
  • Uphold hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in compliance with regulations. Ensure the kitchen environment remains clean and organised.
