We are currently seeking a dedicated and creative Pastry Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Pastry Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the pastry kitchen, ensuring the creation of exquisite desserts, and contributing to the overall excellence of our dining experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen, maintaining high standards of dessert quality.
  • Lead and inspire the pastry kitchen team, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Execute creative and visually appealing desserts, ensuring presentation and taste meet restaurant standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage the freshness of pastry ingredients.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new pastry menu items and seasonal specials.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations in the pastry kitchen.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and efficient working environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or in a similar role within the culinary industry.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and dessert presentation.
  • Exceptional culinary skills and attention to detail in pastry creation.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and ordering processes.
