Job Description
An exceptional opportunity presents itself for a Pastry Sous Chef to join the Pastry Kitchen Department at Raffles London at the OWO.
Reporting into the Executive Pastry Chef/Senior Sous Chef, you will reside within the Old War Office building on Whitehall. The property has been transformed into a flagship Raffles hotel featuring 125 rooms and suites, restaurants, spa and 85 private residences.
Specifically, as the Pastry Sous Chef, your responsibility’s will include:
- Ensuring the kitchen team is fully engaged with our values and kitchen culture.
- Responsible for day to day running and supervision, preparation, and service of food.
- Ensuring the highest standards are always maintained to the standards required by the hotel.
- Ensuring that strict hygiene controls are kept in all Kitchen areas when under their supervision.
- Undertaking any specific function of any Raffles kitchens/ kitchen management as delegated by the Executive Pastry Chef and Senior Sous Chef.
- Understands that the pastry department work as one team to support and be directly.
- Responsible for the quality, production and service for pastry/dessert/bakery in all outlets within the hotel including but not limited to the restaurants, events, private dining and canteen.
