The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physics or a relatable field, alongside experience in patent prosecution

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications in the US and foreign jurisdictions.
  • Conduct prior art searches and analyze patentability of inventions.
  • Prepare responses to office actions from patent offices.
  • Work closely with Engineers and Scientists to understand inventions and provide guidance on IP matters.
  • Conduct freedom-to-operate analyses and provide opinions on potential patent infringement.
  • Assist in the development and management of the company’s patent portfolio.
  • Collaborate with outside counsel on various patent-related matters.
  • Stay current with changes in patent laws and regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on intellectual property issues.
  • Support litigation and enforcement activities as needed

Responsibilities:

Type One Energy are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Patent Agent to join our Intellectual Property team. The Patent Agent will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses, and supporting the overall IP strategy of the company.
