• Department: Rehabilitation
• Schedule: PRN, Typical hours range from 8-430 depending on shift and needsPosition includes regularly scheduled weekend and holiday requirements of 2 weekend shifts per month and 1 holiday per year. Weekday availability as needed . This position can expand to coverage of other Ascension site locations if interested.

• Location: Brookfield, WI

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Wisconsin Hearing and Speech Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.

Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy.

• Perform therapy intervention utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
• Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services.
• Provide information regarding appropriate support programs.
