Job Summary
Salary: £27,000
Hours: Shifts allocated between the hours of 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday - Saturday (37.5 hours per week)
Location: 40 Grosvenor Place, London, SW1X 7AW (on-site only)

What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Reservations Officer to join our Patient Access Team. You will be supported by the Reservations Senior, and will be responsible for all day case and inpatient scheduling and bed management activity.
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely collection of all demographic and financial data required prior to the patient admission to CCL. You will need to have a working knowledge of all types of day case and inpatient scheduling across the various clinical areas of the hospital and will be an excellent communicator and adaptable team player who enjoys the challenges of delivering excellent customer service in a busy hospital environment.

What will your duties include?

  • Accurately and efficiently schedule all day case and inpatient hospital bookings
  • Work proactively and collaboratively to ensure that all outstanding Reservations work queue items are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Ensure all day case and inpatients are contacted and booked in accordance with case order timescales
  • Collect accurate and complete demographic and financial details
  • Liaise with insurance companies and other payers to ensure relevant authorisation is in place
  • Provide cost estimates to self-pay patients
  • Ensure incomplete bookings are forwarded to the pre-registration work queue for completion (demographic and financial information)
  • Liaise with relevant clinical departments on a daily basis to ensure bed availability for all booked patients
  • Communicate effectively with other relevant clinical departments within the hospital to deliver a seamless patient journey in all cases
  • Cross train across all areas of Patient Access
  • Follow hospital and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge
  • Complete mandatory education and training in order to maintain organisation and department specific competencies and requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

What we need from you?

  • Minimum GCSE /High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proven record of experience in a hospital Reservations/Theatres environment including scheduling and bed management preferred
  • Experience of patient bookings via hospital computer software
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word etc.
  • Outstanding customer service, communication, confidentiality and interpersonal skills
