Description:

SUMMARY:

The Patient Accounting Trainer/Auditor is responsible for the training of newly hired staff and the on-going training for existing staff. This person will work closely with the Manager, Customer Service and Self-pay Collections to provide support, coordination and evaluation of staff and non-employed contracted vendor staff. The role will assist in determining the quality performance and will assist in the awareness of departmental policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, healthcare management or related experience preferred.
  2. Years of relevant experience: 3 to 5 years is preferred.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
  4. Knowledge of Epic revenue cycle registration and billing processes required.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Trains new hires in proper Epic usage, departmental policies, and standard work instructions
  2. Trains existing staff and non-employed contracted staff in new policies, procedures, and standard work instructions
  3. Audits the quality of work performed and assist with measuring the productivity of all staff according to established standards.
  4. Provides support to Management team on identifying possible areas of improvement and/or automation.
  5. Works closely with contracted vendors to ensure proper training and work performance.
