POSITION SUMMARY

The Patient & Family Relations Specialist is responsible for handling customer concerns and Customer Service functions, assuring that all aspects of the recovery processes meet the needs of both the organization and customers. The Specialist works with Quality Management Consultants and Quality Management Department to assure clinical patterns/trends are aggregated with other system data to identify areas requiring improvement. This position is responsible for strategic deployment and tracking of performance improvement results of Health System resources to maximize customer satisfaction with complaint resolution and minimize key issues generating complaints.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, communications, business or related field
  • Minimum five (5) years in direct Customer Service experience within the healthcare field will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum one (1) year customer service experience
  • Significant experience in project management, managing targets and timelines
  • Experience in facilitating groups and managing improvement processes
  • Direct clinical healthcare experience preferred
  • Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting the minimum qualifications
