Description:

We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Tacoma, Washington. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be primarily responsible for handling phone, email, and chat interactions with patients. This role involves tasks such as scheduling appointments, processing incoming and outgoing referrals and records, and maintaining patient demographic information.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming calls related to scheduling appointments, follow-ups, and cancellations.
  • Process incoming and outgoing referrals and records.
  • Register patients over the phone and maintain or update their demographic information.
  • Handle insurance referrals and authorizations, including Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as faxing, copying, and scanning medical charts.
  • Process patient payments and communicate delivery of hearing aids.
  • Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications.
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on their status.
  • Manage a high volume of calls, divided among the team.
  • Communicate effectively with doctors or providers when patients want to leave a message.

  • Proficiency in call center customer service
  • Experience in patient scheduling and follow-up appointments
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Ability to photocopy and scan documents efficiently
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Proven ability to maintain accurate and organized records
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of professionalism and empathy when dealing with patients
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all matters related to patients and their care.
