Description:
DESCRIPTION
The Patient Care Tech I is a member of the patient care team who performs a variety of tasks and activities to meet patient and departmental needs consistent with the scope of practice for an unlicensed practitioner. The Patient Care Tech I must manage multiple demands on his/her time to support the activity of the Nurses, Physicians, and Interdisciplinary Team in caring for patients.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Coursework/Training: Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Student.
- Coursework/Training: EKG arrhythmia interpretation – must pass competency.
- 1 year experience as CNA in acute care setting, or
- 1 year experience as EMT, or
- First year nursing student.
- Monitor Tech experience.
