Description:

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN WORKING AT MAGNET-DESIGNATED UPMC MAGEE-WOMENS HOSPITAL? ONLY 7% OF HOSPITALS NATIONWIDE HAVE ACHIEVED MAGNET DESIGNATION - AND WE’RE ONE OF THEM! FOR MORE THAN A CENTURY, UPMC MAGEE HAS BEEN CARING FOR WOMEN THROUGH ALL STAGES OF THEIR LIVES, AND WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE NEXT TALENTED EMPLOYEE TO JOIN OUR TEAM.

The Resource Pool provides ad hoc staffing solutions for special needs or disruptions in the hospital’s workforce, such as in the case of vacancies, call-offs, and surges in patient census. Resource staff float to all areas of the hospital (including Med-Surg, ICU, PACU, and Emergency Department); Resource staff also opens and staffs overflow units during high census, so a high level of autonomy and self-direction is required. To work in the Resource Pool, you must be especially flexible, knowledgeable, and responsive! Typically, 2-3 years of inpatient nursing experience or prior work in a resource/float position is preferred; RNs receive a 10% differential in their hourly rate for floating. The Resource Pool has a 10% pay differential.
