Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
The PE Manager is the primary relationship holder with key patient organizations and patient representatives at country level.
The PE Manager role ensures the implementation of the PE Strategy across the key development milestones. This includes managing and developing partnerships with patient organizations, ensuring patient community input into the Global PE and therapeutic area (TA) strategies and key country pre/post launch milestones.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conceptualize, plan and execute projects with patient organizations and NGOs in the strategic disease area.
- Support internal stakeholders to manage engagement and partnership with patient support groups and patient advocates for strategic disease area.
- Represents PE in the country cross functional team on PE topics, keeping country teams informed on key changes in the external environment related to PE (e.g. regulatory or payor policy changes related to embedding patient input into decision making).
- Drives the PE strategy & framework implementation at Therapeutic Area (TA) country level and ensures local input into global TA PE strategies, disease-agnostic questions and decisions that need to be informed by patients.
- Collaborate with Communications, Public Affairs, Regulatory and Access functions (where relevant) to shape local advocacy strategy and to identify opportunities for partnership with patient communities in shaping the environment to address Healthcare (HC) systems issues.
- Partners with global / regional Communications & Engagement (C&E) colleagues and the cross TA functional team to identify the need, the resources, and the methodology for implementing disease awareness and mobilization campaigns.
- Drive capability-building initiatives for patient organizations and manage partnership with academia and research institutions.
- Implement PE methodologies to support the involvement of patient representatives in local regulatory and decision making .
- Drive PE to generate patient insights which could support the adoption of patient evidence in access and reimbursement local processes .
- In collaboration with Medical Affairs, Clinical Trial and / or Access functions, drives patient input into any locally run clinical trials.
