QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of related experience within the healthcare field, required
  • Ability and interest to learn clinical information and criteria. Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Emphasis on computer literacy and communication skills, such as Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Problem solver with entrepreneurial spirit
  • Successful completion of all orientation programs

Preferred:

  • Associate degree within the Healthcare field, Bachelor’s preferred

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Shift- 8:30am 4:30pm
  • Monday-Friday
  • Full Time

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews schedules and prepare patient charts; request necessary clinical information as needed, prepare charts for visits/re-evaluations by ensuring all tests ordered and results ready for review
  • Obtain referrals for appointments, pre-certifications, and same day authorizations for all diagnostics testing and procedures as needed
  • Performs all duties related to the pre-registration, registration, and financial clearance processes for all patients (emergency, ambulatory and in-patients)
  • Responsible for collecting proper data to insure hospital bills will be paid by a third party payer or the patient
  • Assist clinical staff with specific patient care needs (follow up calls, coordination of testing, scheduling tests/procedures, assist uninsured patients with insurance enrollment
  • Assist with the identification and resolution of all registration and insurance issues as assigned
