Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Patient Pathway Lead in the Rheumatology and Metabolic Bone Disease Unit. You will have the unique opportunity to support and gain experience within the Specialist Service.
The role of Patient Pathway Lead provides a senior point of contact to A&C staff, and will work closely with clinical and nursing leads to ensure a high standard of patient care is delivered within clinical directorates, in line with the Trust policy and standard operating procedures.
This post is 1.0 WTE to cover between Monday to Friday and the working hours are 9am-5pm.
The successful applicant will have previous experience of leading a team and managing change. They should be resilient, motivated, organised, work well under pressure and have exceptional communication skills.
They will work closely with the Service Manager and Operations Manager to ensure the Trust’s Access Policy is adhered to and that all administration-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met, with remedial actions put in place where necessary.
They will also be responsible for the personal development planning and learning needs of the staff within their own administrative team, as well as managing any human resource issues.

This role will primarily be focussed on supporting the admin team. They will work closely with the Service Manager, Operations Manager, RTT Team Members, Clinical leads, Consultants and all other clinical staff in the directorates, Heads of Departments, HR Partner, Divisional Accountant, and Patients/Representatives.
Some of the Duties will include: Outpatient and Inpatient Waiting list Management. Manage annual leave, sickness absence and time owing in accordance with Trust policy. Responsible for workload planning and delegation on a continuous basis, ensuring equity of distribution between admin team members.
