Description:

Reporting to the Administrative Team Lead, the post holder will assist in the provision of an efficient, effective and comprehensive administrative service supporting the clinical team. You will be expected to work alongside Medical/Nursing & Administrative Staff ensuring patient flow through the Emergency Care areas to facilitate efficiency and enhance the patient streamlined journey during their admission.
Using appropriate technologies and equipment the post holder will produce all work outputs to a high standard meeting the organisations requirements for Patient Safety, Information Governance and CQC recommendations in adherence with Trust policies, procedure and guidelines.

It is expected that you will ensure high standards are met in regards to PPF (patient process facilitator) duties working in compliance with the Trusts Policies and Procedures that will assist in ensuring the patients experience is both safe and effective.
This role will be flexible, working to cover as demand predicts over a 7 day 24hour period. We are looking for someone with strong organisational and communication skills and an excellent working knowledge of all IT systems used within a clinical health care setting.

Working across the Emergency Care Directorate including Urgent Care A&E and the Emergency Assessment Unit. The Patient Process facilitator role is paramount to facilitate the efficient and timely flow of patients through the departments.
We have an exciting opportunity available for a permanent Patient Process Facilitator to join our Emergency Care Directorate. You will be working as part of the well established teams and the wider multi disciplinary team to promote the efficient flow of patients within the Trust and support both the medical and nursing team with diagnostic requests and result management. You will maximise the use of beds whilst ensuring the optimum environment for patient care in order to facilitate the Trust in maintaining bed capacity and supporting the achievement of the Urgent and Emergency Care Standards. You will be responsible for the daily reporting of ambulance handover times and delays of time in department. You will communicate with other trusts regarding bed availability and outpatient referrals
