Description:

DESCRIPTION

Responsible for new referral intake and scheduling all PET/CT and diagnostic CT patients referred to PET/CT Imaging at Swedish Cancer Institute. Responsible for understanding which IDC-10 codes are eligible for the different PET/CT scans that we perform (PET/CT mid skull to thigh for cancer or infection, PET/CT top of skull to below feet for cancer or infection, PET/CT brain for epilepsy, PET/CT for dementia, PET/CT brain for tumor vs radiation necrosis, Amyvid PET/CT of brain for dementia, NETSPOT PET/CT for neuroendocrine tumors, Axumin PET/CT for prostate cancer, Pylarify PET/CT scan for prostate cancer, Radiation Treatment planning PET/CT, and PET/CT for cardiac sarcoidosis).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years - Previous experience in an outpatient medical setting with extensive customer service interaction.
  • Experience with insurance authorization and verification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Coursework/Training - 2-4 year degree.
  • Previous experience with coordination of medical services or management.
