JOB SUMMARY:

The Patient Service Representative at Lowell Community Health Center is a crucial member of the healthcare team, the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing patient intake, collection of registration data, scheduling/re-scheduling appointments, and handling various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be professional, friendly, and efficient in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience in a healthcare or customer service environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare regulations is beneficial.

Responsibilities:

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:

  • Maintain and update patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Collect co-pays and other payments, providing receipts as required.
  • Manage patient intake forms and other documentation.
