Description:

We are seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our healthcare team in Everett, Washington. This role is crucial in providing compassionate care to our patients, primarily in the area of administrative support and patient communication. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity that offers a chance to contribute significantly to our patients’ experience in our healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, greeting them warmly and creating a welcoming atmosphere
  • Manage administrative tasks efficiently, including handling phone calls and maintaining office supplies
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments using electronic systems, ensuring accuracy in scheduling
  • Verify patient insurance information and assist in resolving insurance-related inquiries
  • Handle billing and payment processes, including collecting patient co-payments, deductibles, and payments for services rendered
  • Address patient billing inquiries promptly and accurately
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy regulations
  • Facilitate communication between patients, caregivers, and medical staff, relaying messages and information as needed
  • Show empathy and compassion while addressing patient concerns and ensuring their needs are met promptly
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and address patient needs.
  • Proficient in handling inbound telephone calls in a healthcare setting
  • Capable of multitasking under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems is required
  • Understanding and adherence to HIPAA Compliance and Patient Privacy Rules
  • Ability to schedule patient appointments efficiently and accurately
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • High level of professionalism and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare processes is advantageous
