Description:
POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Services Representative facilitates communication between patients and doctors, clinical staff, and administrative staff, and acts as the liaison between patients, insurance companies, and MWEC Central Billing department. Responsibilities include verifying insurance, obtaining pre-authorizations, checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, answering phones, triage, responding to patient inquiries, and maintaining charts.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate, or equivalent, is required
- Previous medical office experience and knowledge in medical coding/billing is preferred
