Description:
UCN acknowledges that we are on the traditional

Manitoba since time immemorial. The First
Nations in the area that UCN serves entered into

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary diploma in Finance or Accounting; equivalent combination and experience may be considered
Experience administrating Canadian payroll and/or benefits (i.e. experience processing full cycle payrolls, processing T4s,
managing reports for Tax Canada, and Workers Compensation claims management, or experience administrating benefit plans
such as Group and Dependents Insurance and pension plans)
Ability to interpret and explain policy and procedures, collective agreement, and legislation
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe
Customer service-orientated communication skills
Ability to work well independently, as well as in a team
Strong attention to detail
Effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, meet strict timelines, often with overlapping deadlines
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to problem solve efficiently
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and the handling of sensitive information

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources the Pay and Benefits Administrator plays a vital function for UCN, ensuring employees are
paid accurately and on time, that they are properly enrolled in benefits programs, and that accurate employee records and audit trails are
maintained. The position will be responsible for preparing, balancing, verifying, and recording all payroll transactions, as well as
administration of benefit plans and producing various bi-weekly, monthly, and annual reports. The Pay and Benefits Administrator must
ensure that all responsibilities are performed with due regard to confidentiality and in accordance with applicable legislation, the Collective
Agreement, benefit plan provisions, human resource and payroll policies and procedures.
