Responsibilities:

  • Leading the design and delivery of all work on Payment Infrastructure related risk in the 2nd line, using technical payments knowledge to drive inputs to Risk LT and external reporting to Regulators.
  • Reporting to the Board and Leadership Team to ensure understanding of the key Payment Infrastructure risks and setting the mitigation strategies to reduce risk exposure, and providing high quality outputs and opinions, written and verbal, on all areas of relevant Payment Infrastructure risk to senior leaders.
  • Leading the creation and oversight of the Payment Infrastructure risk monitoring and assurance plan, ensuring delivery of team activities in line with methodology and standards and within timescales.
  • Providing expert opinion and direction, guidance and support in the oversight and independent challenge of the 1st line of defence teams to ensure relevant risks are identified, documented, measured, monitored and mitigated both in the BAU and Change environments.
  • Ensuring that resiliency is baked into our thinking when providing risk-based assessment of system/tooling choices in Payment related disciplines across the Bank.
  • Providing clear direction and purpose regarding Payment Infrastructure risk management to the organisation alongside mentoring and supporting managers within the bank to execute their own responsibilities.
  • Keeping up to speed with advances in all payment related regulations and standards and ensuring this insight is utilised to mitigate potential risks in the Payments environment.
