- Good understanding of how complex / exotic currencies such as INR and AED are settled.
Ability to liaise with highly demanding stakeholders in a calm and diplomatic way.Ability to multi-task in a high pace environment is a key requirement.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Payments Operations Manager, the role will provide support in all payments, settlements, and reconciliation processes ensuring smooth and secure movement of funds. The role would suit an ambitious candidate who is willing to put in hard work and up for a highly demanding and challenging role. The role expects a strong commitment in a challenging environment.
You will have a minimum of 1-3 years direct experience of working in a settlements role or similar covering all aspects of settlements and payments preferably within a FX brokerage firm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Payment Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the processing of FX Spot, Forward, Swap, Non-Deliverable Forwards and FX Option transactions executed by the multiple business units within the HCFX Group
- Ensuring all settlements are correctly processed and approved – settlement is on either a gross or net basis and with HCFX clients, inter HCFX group and market counterparties
- Accurate reconciliation of inward funds must be completed ahead of releasing outward payments
- Team are responsible for raising queries and issues promptly and accurately on Salesforce and responding to cases raised by Front Office
- New beneficiaries and payment instructions requests are raised by Dealers or direct by Clients. Once these are approved by Compliance, the Payment Operations team are responsible for promptly and accurately capturing in the Treasury Management System
- All relevant funds must be swept to Safeguarded accounts as per operating procedures
- Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of Option Expiries and Exercises
Responsibility for the timely and accurate reconciliation of the Group’s Operating, Safeguarding, Margin and Profit accounts ensuring all issues are resolved or escalated in line with proceduresPayment Operations analysts are responsible for continuously identifying process and efficiency improvement opportunities for both system and off-system activities.
