| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent related work experience combined with formal post-secondary education.
  • Participation in on-call support rotation along with periodic overtime will be required after six (6) months of employment.
  • Rotational shift work.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is required.
  • The candidate confirms they have the eligibility to obtain and maintain a GoC Secret Clearance or equivalent checks that may be carried out by Payments Canada. This includes the requirement of having lived in Canada for the last five (5) years.

|PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum one (1) to three (3) years’ experience in an operations support environment and/or Service Desk environment an asset.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundation certification in IT Service Managements is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of payment infrastructure is considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

| ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Payments Operations Centre Analyst, you are responsible for providing payments system support. This support includes, but is not limited to: monitoring of payment systems, network devices, mediating between vendors & financial members, and providing advisory services to financial member clients. Due to the requirements of the industry, the POC Analysts fulfill these duties on a rotational schedule as there are different responsibilities throughout different cycles. A Payments Canada Analyst also contributes to both documentation and projects related to improving their team and Payments Canada as a whole.

| What You’ll Do:Responsibilities for the position include:Technical Service and Program/Project Delivery:

  • You are the first point of contact for any issues/concerns surrounding Payment Operations Centre activities for Payments Canada’s critical business systems.
  • You will provide unique services to clients including: monitoring systems cycle state, batch production control, developing reports and performing system verification and fault tolerance activities. Problems are typically difficult and non-routine.
  • You will assist in payment system support, process design and improvement; operational readiness for new and updated services; technical enhancement and maintenance of payments related systems; and Request, Change, Incident and Problem management.
