Description:
Monizze is a leading provider of electronic meal vouchers, eco-vouchers, gift cards, and innovative platforms within HR services. With a focus on delivering comprehensive solutions to businesses, we are adding a new role within the company. We are seeking a Payments Engineer to ensure the seamless operation, maintenance, and optimization of our payment authorization system. This role is critical in upholding the reliability and efficiency of our payment infrastructure, a key component of our business operations.
The Payments Engineer will act as a bridge between the payment provider and various internal teams, ensuring smooth integrations and effective communication across departments.They will be tasked with configuring and monitoring the payment platform to ensure continuous and secure transaction processing. They will analyse data and system performance to proactively identify and resolve issues, minimizing service interruptions. By collaborating closely with operations, support, and other IT teams, the Payments Engineer will contribute to improving the overall performance and user experience of our payment solutions.
Furthermore, this role will require the individual to be agile and adaptable, staying up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies to maintain a robust and forward-thinking payment system. The Payments Engineer will play a key role in shaping the future of our payment services, ultimately driving the success of our organization by providing reliable and efficient payment processing solutions.
EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Extensive (maybe settle for Basic knowledge or willingness to learn) experience in payment solutions, with a strong understanding of payment schemes (Visa, Mastercard,…), Payment technologies (EMV, 3DS, Tokenisation, …) PSP integrations, and mobile wallets.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale payment projects from strategy to execution.
- Familiarity with security protocols and standards related to payments.
- Understand the basics of merchant processing (EMV, 3DS, Econ, …)
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience as a Software Integrator or in a similar role, with a focus on system integrations
- Exposure to the payments industry is a plus but not a strict requirement.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Strong understanding of IT systems, including :
- Databases & Data Analysis: Proficient in SQL and capable of performing complex data analysis.
- Systems Integration: Familiarity with protocols, APIs, and communication methods used in enterprise IT environments.
- Troubleshooting & Configuration: Able to diagnose, configure, and optimize large-scale systems.
