Our client is seeking a highly skilled Payments Specialist to join their dynamic team in London.
As part of this programme, we are looking to contract a Payments Specialist with specialized experience in Payee Identification & Verification (ID&V), Payment Digitisation, Payment Straight Through Processing ("STP"), AML/Fraud and processes relevant to the acquisition, verification and maintenance of payee data. This should also be coupled with a proven record of introducing change within a global financial institution.
- The definition and implementation of Payee Identification & Verification ("ID&V")
- The definition and implementation of a process to acquire, verify and maintain payee details.
- The creation of a centralised payment details repository facilitating straight through payments (STP) processing across targeted payment channels
What you’ll do:
As a Payment Specialist with a focus on ID&V, you will be responsible for ensuring that our payments solutions are secure, compliant, and provide exceptional customer experiences. You will lead the development of features related to identity verification in the payments flow, driving innovations that protect customers and businesses from fraud while improving the overall user experience. This role requires a deep understanding of payments systems, processes, operating models, ID&V technologies, regulatory standards, and how they intersect within the payments ecosystem.
- Define and execute the product vision and strategy for payment solutions, ensuring that Identification & Verification (ID&V) and Payee details verification are effectively integrated into the payment process.
- Leverage your deep knowledge of ID&V technologies (biometrics, document verification, KYC/AML compliance) to ensure the integrity, security, and regulatory compliance of payment processes.
- Work closely with the business and technology to develop and deliver new payment features, ensuring they meet customer needs and regulatory standards.
- Act as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including third-party vendors , to drive alignment on payment product requirements.
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams to enhance the customer journey for ID&V and Payee details verification processes, ensuring frictionless authentication methods while maintaining robust security.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, KYC/AML) and ensure the product complies with relevant laws and guidelines, particularly around identity verification.
- Lead product development within an agile framework, defining user stories, prioritising backlogs, and driving iterations based on user feedback and testing.
