Description:

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Payroll Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to clients, and maintaining payroll records. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a solid understanding of payroll practices using BrightPay software. The Payroll Clerk will also be involved in providing Administration duties including producing invoices using Sage software, posting cash receipts, accounts payable transactions and bank reconciliations alongside general adminstration and reception duties. An interesting and varied job covering all aspects of administration in a small business environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role.
  • Familiarity with BrightPay and Sage or similar software is advantageous.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: £22,880.00-£24,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for all clients, ensuring accuracy in hours worked and deductions.
  • Utilise accounting software such as BrightPay for payroll processing for 40 clients
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding payroll matters
  • Maintenance of accounts receivable and bank accounts
  • Assist with accounts payable functions as needed.
  • General administration duties including post, filing, typing and reception duties.
