GENERAL SUMMARY:
Join our team as a Payroll Administrative Assistant in an entry-level role that plays an integral part in supporting our Electric Power Division. This position involves a range of accounting and administrative tasks, including labor timekeeping, customer invoicing, and general accounting responsibilities.
DESCRIPTION OF PHYSICAL WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM
- Normal office environment. Routinely works from a sitting position with a computer. Repetitive typing and computer use required. Regular bending, twisting, and light lifting is common with or without reasonable accommodations.

Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as familiarity with other relevant software programs.
- General knowledge of office procedures and routines.
- Preferred minimum of one year of accounting or payroll experience.
- Strong multitasking abilities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in proofreading and preparing various reports with precision.
- Exceptional team skills, meticulous attention to detail, effective communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Computer literacy and a basic understanding of computer hardware.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with weekly payroll entry, reviewing, and processing.
- Process weekly adjusting payrolls as needed (miscellaneous payments related to missed time, retroactive increases, etc.).
- Utilize COINS (Construction Industry Solutions) accounting software.
- Correspond via email and telephone with employees regarding payroll issues.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly time-sensitive deadlines.
- Provide and assist with reporting and data requests associated with internal/external auditors.
- Performs duties including printing and compiling packets for a variety of work groups.
- Scans and files paperwork for new and completed electrical power jobs.
- May handle sub-contractor timesheet entry.
- Maintains specific schedules for field crews.
- Performs other duties/special projects as assigned.
