We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Richmond Hill. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth processing of payroll for one of our key markets, either the USA or Canada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. This is an in-office position, with a requirement to work 5 days a week.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably in both Canadian and US markets.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements in Canada and/or the USA.
  • Proficiency with payroll software ADP workforce.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for employees in either the USA or Canada, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Manage payroll-related queries from employees and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports as required by management.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure all payroll-related data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary updates.
  • Handle payroll-related tasks such as garnishments, benefits deductions, and tax withholdings.
  • Assist with year-end payroll processing, including T4s/W-2s and other tax-related documentation.
