Description:
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Administrator in the construction/contractor industry based in Fresno, California. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be required to ensure accurate and timely payroll processes, manage queries from employees and vendors, comply with all relevant government reporting requirements and tax filings, and administer contracts.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately perform data entry and reconciliation of time cards.
- Handle the administration of payroll taxes.
- Distribute paychecks and statements to department managers.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from employees and vendors.
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Carry out the administration of contracts.
- Use full cycle payroll skills to ensure all payroll processes are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain clear and accurate operational procedures for reference and training purposes.
- Regularly update and maintain accurate customer records.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Possession of a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Payroll Administrator role or similar
- Proficient in Full Cycle Payroll
- Familiarity with construction or contractor industry is desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
- Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization
