Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized professional to join our construction client
as a Payroll and Human Resources Assistant. This role primarily entails handling our payroll needs using Asure software, for a team of approximately 50 employees. Alongside this, a collection of light HR duties will also be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
Proven experience in payroll processing and HR administrative roles.
Strong familiarity with Asure Software or similar payroll software.
Excellent attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Strong knowledge of labor legislation laws.

Responsibilities:

Administer the company’s payroll functions including processing, recording payroll data, and issuing paychecks.
Utilize Asure Software for efficient and accurate payroll management.
Ensure all payroll transactions are processed and reconciled efficiently that complies with company policies and federal and state laws.
Respond to payroll related questions and employment verification requests.
Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs such as health insurance, pension plans, vacation, and sick leave.
Assist in the recruitment process by posting job ads, gathering information on new applicants, contacting references and informing employees of their hiring status.
Create and maintain employee records to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
Help organize company HR functions and staff events.
Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs.
Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practice.
