We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Administrator , located in Central, Kentucky. The role involves processing payroll, maintaining general ledger accounts, and providing customer service to employees. This is a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process payroll changes and additions within the designated system
- Regularly maintain payroll-related general ledger accounts
- Coordinate year-end functions, such as preparing W2s
- Keep an organized record of all payroll documents
- Develop custom reports for budget preparation, audits, etc.
- Stay updated with current payroll tax laws to address employee inquiries
- Prepare reports on earnings, taxes, and deductions periodically
- Investigate and rectify payroll issues as necessary
- Deliver exceptional customer service in response to employee queries
- Prepare audit adjustments and documentation at year-end
- Perform data entry for miscellaneous journal entries, including transfers and reclassifications
- Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian
- Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration
- Understanding of Accounting Functions and Auditing
- Ability to handle Benefit Functions and Benefits Payroll
- Experience with Full Cycle Payroll
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and payroll laws
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
