Description:
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Administrator in Brentwood, Tennessee. As part of this role, you will be responsible for various tasks ranging from payroll tax analysis to processing with 3rd party tax vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and regulate weekly payroll tax activities for various legal entities.
- Respond promptly to tax notices and coordinate with the accounting team for payments.
- Conduct weekly audits of payroll for tax functions and accuracy.
- Prepare and process federal, multi-state, and multi-jurisdiction withholding tax payments in a timely manner.
- Handle W2 corrections and reissues as needed.
- Communicate effectively with payroll, finance, and accounting departments.
- Manage the relationship with external tax vendor while demonstrating the ability to handle all in-house tax duties.
- Implement a strategy for bringing all tax responsibility internally, including filing, payments, correspondence, reporting, and timely W2s.
- Assist with special projects as needed, including other duties as required.
- Leverage project management concepts to achieve organizational goals
- Proven experience in a payroll administrator
- Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of payroll taxes
- Proficiency in utilizing payroll software and systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet stringent deadlines
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with payroll regulations and requirements
- Strong communication skills to liaise with employees regarding their pay, deductions, and benefits
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Commitment to remain informed about current legislation relating to payroll and taxes
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities to resolve payroll discrepancies
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
