Description:

Reporting to the Regional Supervisor, Payroll. The incumbent will assist in the day-to-day operation of the Payroll Service and preparation of timely, accurate and complete payroll payments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

o Payroll Compliance Practitioner certificate from the National Payroll Institute (NPI) or the equivalent in related experience in a complex payroll environment required
o Minimum two-year college diploma in Business Administration or equivalent
o Understanding of Source Deduction analysis and reconciliation
o Knowledge of HOOPP an asset
o Excellent Keyboarding skills required
o Basic knowledge of general accounting principles
o Strong computer skills required in all Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook)
o Ability to work in a high-pressure, time sensitive environment
o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
o Evidence of effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
o Consistent and regular attendance required
o Flexible in work schedule
o Consistent and regular attendance required
o Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset
