POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is based in either Cumberland, RI or Hartford, CT. Fully remote will be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates only.
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented payroll professional to join our robust organization for a position as a Payroll Analyst. Under general direction of the payroll manager, the ideal candidate performs a variety of payroll tasks to support the activities of our vast business. Duties will include the preparation of confidential and sensitive correspondence, maintenance of pay records, reconciliation of pay records, colleague support, vendor relationship support, audit and pay related reporting oversight and payment/deduction validation/compliance. The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience with the Workday platform.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of Payroll experience
- 1+ year of experience with Workday report writing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- CPP or FPC Certification
- Excellent written & oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Responsibilities:
- Seek & work to implement opportunities to improve processes.
- Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies or errors.
- Support internal and external audit requests.
- Assist with pay cycle process validations.
- Prepare various financial reports for management review.
- Workday report writing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate recording of pay impacting items/matters.
- General HR Shared Services project support.
