Description:

  • Review timesheets and attendance records for inaccuracies
  • Prepare and submit all necessary paperwork for tax deductions, benefits and garnishments
  • Analyze compensation-related data including wages and bonuses
  • Oversee payroll transactions (e.g. via e-banking)
  • Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records
  • Process benefit costs, insurance fees and all leaves
  • Design, document and implement procedures to streamline payroll processes
  • Manage payment calendars for the fiscal year
  • Report to management on payroll issues and changes
  • Answer employees’ questions about all things related to payroll
  • Stay up to date on payroll requirements
  • Work with internal stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and drive the development of UKG
  • Identify and determine requirements with work processes and develop, configure and implement based on changing business needs to improve the user experience
  • Oversee and maintain integrity and security of the HR Information System.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of payroll data through regular audits and reporting.
  • Provide and coordinate continuous training on UKG Payroll
  • Oversee the development and generation of reports that meet Management and end user requirements.
  • Review system feature releases, assess impact on system and business processes.
  • Prepare T4/T4As, year-end reports of remittances, and reconcile differences of balance.
  • Issue Records of Employment (ROEs) electronically to Service Canada.
  • Prepare payroll reports for submittal to government agencies, benefits and insurance providers, government agencies
  • Prepare and distribute ad hoc reports.
  • Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for operational excellence and process improvements to eliminate inefficiencies and better support business needs
