The primary responsibility of the Payroll and Benefits Assistant will be to assist the payroll and benefits team with daily administrative tasks and email management.
This role also offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to enhance their knowledge and skills by pursuing external payroll courses and qualifications, if desired.

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

  • experience working in a payroll and / or benefits team
  • Intermediate Excel skills. E.g. Vlookups and pivot tables

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to shared mailboxes, answering HR and employee queries
  • Input employee pension, private healthcare and dental insurance applications and changes onto the HR system
  • Support administration of all other employee benefit schemes, such as checking requests have been submitted successfully and verifying orders
  • Reconcile and process benefits invoices for payment
  • Support monthly payroll processing, such as inputting Starter Checklists and P45s, and any ad-hoc variable payments
  • Prepare and distribute monthly payroll and benefits reporting, conducting checks on the data
  • Build and foster strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their service requirements and ensuring any issues are dealt with in a prompt and professional manner
