QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Part qualified AAT/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent and working towards a recognised accounting qualification (preferred) or QBE.
- Previous experience of payroll processing (essential)
- Experience of month-end activities (prepayments & accruals)
- Experience of cashbook management
- Impeccable time management.
- Excellent approach to customer service.
- Team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Process driven and able to follow plans with tight deadlines, especially at peak times of the month.
- Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
You will be personable and keen to build strong relationships across the business. You will have strong project management skills driving high quality deliverables on time. As Payroll & Finance Assistant you will be supporting across the finance function. You will be part of a dynamic Finance Team working on payroll, bank & cash, forecasting and month-end reporting within the business.
PURPOSE:
- Responsible for the collation and input of payroll information for review by the Senior Finance Officer (Payroll, COGS & Overheads).
- Updating and maintaining the cashbook for all accounts, tracking and managing customer deposits and processing of expense/company credit card claims
- Liaise with the Finance team and IT to further develop, improve and implement standardised ways of operating and reporting, and drive efficiencies.
- Completion of month-end processing of prepayments/accruals, bank reconciliations and overhead analysis.
- Assisting with driving effective processes with a focus around people, technology & the customers and suppliers we support.
