Description:
We are inviting applications for the role of Payroll/AP Manager in our construction/contractor industry-based office located in Dallas, Texas. This role entails managing payroll and accounts payable functions. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing the processing of bi-weekly payroll for our team, managing the accounts payable inbox, and handling various accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the bi-weekly payroll processing for all employees.
- Manage and record all payroll-related journal entries.
- Ensure all new hires are set up in the payroll system and process terminations as needed.
- Handle all employee benefit or other payroll-related changes.
- Reconcile insurance and other benefit billings.
- Assist with 401k and Workers Comp audits.
- Prepare monthly allocations of labor to multiple entities.
- Manage the accounts payable inbox and oversee weekly payment runs.
- Review payments after they are processed by other staff members.
- Handle the setup of new vendors in the accounting software.
- Process confidential invoices and monthly credit card charges.
- Prepare weekly bank reconciliations.
- Manage vendor relationships and handle ad hoc requests and special projects as needed.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction/contractor industry
- Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
- Adequate knowledge and experience in Accounting Functions
- Excellent understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
- Familiarity with Form 1099
- Ability to conduct Bank Reconciliations
- Proficiency in using Sage Intacct software
- Experience in processing Bi-weekly Payroll
- Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration
- Ability to perform Check Runs
- Familiarity with Positive Pay
- Experience in handling Credit Card Charges
- Ability to manage Vendor Relationships effectively
