About the Role (your why)
The Payroll Associate is responsible for supporting the timely and accurate delivery of the payroll function.
What you’ll do
- Processing payroll for Datacom employees on the agreed basis, accurately and within a timely manner.
- Update payroll information.
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and managing enquiries.
- Being actively involved in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
- Supporting with the preparation of standard and ad hoc reports.
- Resolving payment errors in a timely manner.
- Providing accurate and timely advice to management and staff, and are kept up to date with legislation, policy and system changes.
- Help support the identification of process improvements, needs and priorities.
- Being actively involved in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
What you’ll bring
- Understand relevant legislation and if applicable, award expectations, Associated taxation and superannuation legislation compliance requirements and conditions of employment.
- Understanding of the core principles of payroll end to end processes.
- Understanding of company business requirements. Knowledge of various payroll software/methodologies.
- 2+ years of payroll experience.
- ·Demonstrated experience in effectively administering payroll.
- Demonstrated experience in relevant employment and if applicable, award interpretation.
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Ability to frequently interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members. Strong numeracy skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey information across various levels.
