Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced Payroll Assistant to join the team. You shall be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Payroll Manager and other members of the payroll team, and help in the preparation, processing and monitoring of London United, London Sovereign and Tower Transit payrolls.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Payroll experience in a labour-intensive environment, such as bus, transport, or related, industry

SKILLS:

  • PC Skills including knowledge of Windows Operating System and MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent numeric skills.
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Competent oral and written communication skills, with ability to evaluate queries and advise client is a timely and professional manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • CIPP qualified (desirable)

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge and familiarity with regulatory requirements and upcoming legislative changes
  • Knowledge and understanding of company processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge payroll systems e.g., Resourcelink (Zellis), Open People, Agresso.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with pay clerks at Garages over internal weekly pay queries.
  • Resolving external pay queries and references.
  • Preparation of weekly payroll for processing by payroll provider.
  • Checking and adjusting weekly payroll and liaising with payroll provider in relation to changes and queries.
  • Preparation of data/emails to send to payroll provider.
  • Ensure all staff are paid in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Prepare Bac’s requests and arrange recovery where applicable.
  • Split and assign relevant parts of the of the payroll (reporting) to the Finance Department
  • Drafting and typing correspondence to internal and external parties, including requests from governmental bodies in relation to employee’s pay.
  • Adhere to and promote the Company’s health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Undertake any other reasonable task or projects assigned by your manager.
